Diploma in Business

The BA programme provides a professional qualification that may be used
to prepare directly for a career in business, or to gain advanced entry
onto a range of professional qualifications and university business
courses in the UK and many other countries. The programme provides
student with an appreciation of the theoretical issues currently
involved in the study of business and a range of practical skills which
will enhance their value to potential employers. Major themes running
throughout the programme include Management, Finance and Accounting,
Marketing and IT.

Preparatory Course
Government School Admission
Government primary and secondary schools in Singapore are based on the British
education system, which lead to the PSLE and GCE 'O' Level
Examinations.
Foreign students wishing to be admitted to Singapore government schools
have to sit for a placement test set by the respective schools (no
placement for Secondary 4 and Primary 6). Cardiff Learning Centre conducts
preparatory classes to equip these students for such test. The course
covers subjects like English and Mathematics.

English Language Courses

Elementary English Language Course
The course provides students with basic English skills in familiar
situations. They learn through interacting with others in pairs or in
groups. Learners will be able to talk about themselves, about the
environment or society. They will be exposed to language used in
everyday situations in school, social life, work and leisure. Students
will be able to write simple letters and read short articles. The
course is organized as follows:

* Vocabulary * Grammar
Students can opt to take Key English Test conducted by the University of Cabridge Local Examinations Syndicate.

Intermediate English Language Course
The course provides students with basic English competency skills in
familiar situations. They will be able to discuss about familiar
topics, tell a story and write book reviews. Class activities include
pair or group interaction and role plays. Topics include careers,
lifestyles, immigration, the future and so on. The course is organized
as follows:

Students can opt to take the Preliminary English Test conducted by
University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate or the IELTS.

Advanced English Language Course
The course provides students with a generally effective command of
English. Students will be able to use and understand fairly complex
language particularly in familiar situations. They will be able to
express their opinions, participate in debates and do research report
writing. The course is organized as follows:

IELTS Preparation Course
The course prepares students taking the IELTS test. It is suitable both
for students applying to enter an English-speaking university as well
as for people who need IELTS score for immigration to English-speaking
country. The course familiarizes students with IELTS format and
question types. It also reflects the broader range of language that
students will encounter in an English-speaking environment and enhances
their overall English language skills. The course consists of:
